Ideas: Can be serious or funny. Use Vocabulary from Heroic Acts unit pg. 242 for Vocabulary and verbs. Be creative.
Roles: newscaster, firefighter, police, witness, interviewer/interviewee, wax museum (as individuals)
Audience: tv watcher, bystanders, passers by
Format: newscast [monologue]; interview [dialogue w/2nd student] with a witness, victim, or rescue worker; fireman/police reporting danger & directing (can use commands) [dialogue and/or monologue]
Topic: torrential rains causing flooding, heavy snows causing problems with traffic, building fire, car wreck, tornado/storm, hurricane aftermath, explosion, shooting?
Format: Youtube video
Listening score: Each presentation will produce 2 questions.
Questions need to be given to teacher the two days before the presentation (beginning of class 12/15). Teacher will put questions in a document and will collect at the end of the final.
Writing Score: Submit written script by end of class Tuesday 12/9
Finish product: 12/16 (show part of final product before leave school to prove it works)
